ISO14001•ISO9001

SAKURA COLOR PRODUCTS CORPORATION OSAKA FACTORY and obtained ISO14001 Environmental Management Systems certification in 2000 for systems that help reduce the impact on the environment through business activities, products, and services.
We also obtained the international standard for quality, ISO9001 Quality Management Systems certification, in 2013.
In 2016 we completed migration to the amended 2015 editions of ISO9001 and ISO14001.SHANGHAI SAKURA STATIONERY CO., LTD has obtained ISO9001 certification, the international standard for quality.

Plastic Tubes Declaration, Laminated Tubes Declaration

Lead tubes have long been used for oil and watercolor paints. However, Lead has become a toxicity concern and consumers needed other options. In 1995, SAKURA led the industry in switching to plastic tubes made from polyethylene resin.

Moreover, we also developed laminated tubes for paints that same year. Laminated tubes are tubes coated in multiple layers of synthetic resin sandwiching aluminum.

SOCIAL CONTRIBUTION GUIDING PRINCIPLES

SAKURA encourages art education for children of all ages, as well as providing resources to teachers who are developing the next generation of artists and creative thinkers.
Sakura supports art exhibitions and public interests that create rich humanity and culture for those who are interested in lifelong learning beyond school education.

Support for Art Education

We carry out study and provide support for teaching materials at the “Study Conference on Art and Design Expression, Arts and Crafts”, aimed at pupils from kindergarten to middle school, and “the Art Education Early Childhood Formative Arts Research Meeting”, aimed at kindergarten pupils.

Collaboration with Art Exhibitions

We work closely with “the Japan National Education Art Exhibition”.
The Japan National Education Art Exhibition got its start in 1922, and today is run by “the Japan Society for the Promotion of Art Education”, a public interest incorporated foundation.
Schools from kindergartens, nursery schools, elementary schools, middle schools, and even special needs schools are invited to participate on a school-by-school basis, and awards are given to both outstanding works and schools.
